The Boy Scout troop leader running the pinewood derby said he bought 100 Hot Wheels to give out as prizes. I went over to the table where the Hot Wheels were and a '76 Ford Maverick caught my eye. During the second round of races, Ryan's car won a couple more times. Upon returning to his seat next to me after a trip to the Hot Wheels table, he held out the car he'd just picked out. "Here, grampa," he said with a smile. "This one's for you."

When my son was in kindergarten they asked every kid to bring in 100 of something, to practice their counting. My kid brought in a crate with 100 Hot Wheels. They were about $1 then, and his dad was a true mark. We would go to a big box and that kid would walk out with a Hot Wheels more than he didn't. 😂
@MHowell That’s flippin awesome

When he was about 10 we gave the crate to the neighbor's kid.
