A new The Last Detail with guest @film_girl just dropped! Had a fun time reminiscing about a very specific 4 year window in the late 90’s / early 00’s. https://www.relay.fm/tc/95

@studioneat @film_girl Love MD! I recorded small concerts off the soundboard that I still listen to sometimes. Thanks for bringing back fun memories.
@tuskey @film_girl Yeah, this era also coincided with my bootleg collecting days. What bands were you recording?
@studioneat @film_girl Bands that came thru VA & NC. Favorites were Vertical Horizon, Jackopierce, Pat McGee Band…college acoustic rock type stuff. I did also have a rudimentary mic that I used to “tape” some Ben Harper shows. It’s amazing how much ease & quality is had w/ a phone these days.
@studioneat @film_girl re design talk: the Sony Wega TVs were great.
@studioneat @film_girl I had a Sony one I picked up while living in Japan in 2001, it was the best. I used it for years, had the car adaptor and everything. Even recorded with it. This one also had an add on to get around the battery issue you mentioned, a screw on 1x AA compartment that would be emergency power. I think I wanted this model because it was in the Freestylers music video.
@BenCurranDev @studioneat yeah! I had the US variant of this that had a little dock. Loved the design. Loved it.
