Lots of great conferences in field of science studies, but very disappointing to see that most conferences offer (almost) no opportunity for virtual participation.

4S meeting is of special interest: "As we gather in Honolulu, we recognize Kanaka Maoli ... and devastating effects of militarism, colonialism, overtourism, and racial capitalism. We seek to work in solidarity with those who have suffered from ... injustice. Experiences of Kanaka Maoli ... focus our consciousness ... on how science, technology and knowledge ... are integral to oppression and marginalization."

Can we take this seriously if 4S meeting doesn't even facilitate online participation?
