China Could Push Russia-Ukraine Conflict to 'True World War,' Analyst Warns

Thomas Friedman said on Sunday that China wants a "prolonged" war in Ukraine to keep the United States tied down.

More reason for the west to arm Ukraine to WIN, not just defend … and sooner rather than later.

@markhertling

Friedman is hardly a reliable analyst.

The US a is burning through weaponry (true), and so is Europe. AND? There’s another shoe, Thomas. It’s that a lot of it was old, and all of it is/will be replaced with more modern, upgraded stuff. And that we and Europe will be spending more on newer weaponry. Which won’t be great news for Chinese imperial aspirations.

And a post-war, post-Russia north Asia will present China with a host of challenges (and some opportunities).
