@Mordko she's xenophobic and stereotypes, like, every non-english person in all her books. feel free to believe that some are exempted, but do not accuse other people of antisemitism in the process, and do not tell them that they don't see what they're clearly seeing.

I'm Jewish, and I totally agree with you. Her goblins are hook-nosed, greedy bankers who kidnap children as part of their global conspiracy. That's not at all antisemitic.Also, as you point out, it can't be antisemitic because there's a long history of Christians portraying Jews as greedy, hook-nosed bankers who kidnap children as part of their global conspiracy.

Next people will try to say that Richard Wagner was antisemitic!! Absurd!! He was just following long-established traditions of Jewish representation! And as we both are aware, Christians have never throughout history been antisemitic, so how could it be antisemitic to follow tradition?!?
