@parkermolloy this may be a very southern european view, but I always find it difficult to understand this anglo saxon thing of attacking the works because the author expresses some very bad ideas on a different medium.

I understand the opposite, and I'm the first to attack people for the ideas they express in their works. But I can't see how the author being an a-hole would detract from a book's quality.
