#DailyStream: food & wine & the projects that sustain a gal. An excellent comfort movie for a cold damp Feb eve is 2009’s delightful #JulieAndJulia. Amy Adams and Meryl Streep are giddily joyful in this cinematic culinary pas de deux. @netflix @hulu US; @primevideouk @AppleTV UK

@MaryAnnJohanson Oh gosh, brings back memories. I remember exchanging comments with Julie about the best method for killing lobsters in her blog at Salon.com. Adams did a fine job portraying Powell's hesitancy.

I will always wonder what the next several decades would have found Julie experimenting with, she was so open to plunging headlong into Child's French Cooking. Would we have seen another film in which Julie's explorations were depicted? RIP.

@femme_mal So awful about her passing. Couldn't believe it when I heard. 💔

I worked with her husband Eric at Archeology magazine while she was doing this (though I worked remotely and we only connected via email) and I vaguely remember him talking about his wife's blogging project. Though I didn't make the connection until I saw this movie!

@MaryAnnJohanson Oh my, you worked with Eric? I sure hope he's okay. He was such a sweetheart during her J/J blogging project.

What a small, small world in which we live.

@femme_mal I haven't had any contact with him in absolute ages. He always seemed like a really nice guy.
