Empowering teams is easy. You literally just stop telling them how to do their jobs.

And that's the hard part.

@jasongorman you also need to give them the responsibility for their own continued existence. Allowing them to work how they want on what they want without responsibility for the consequences is a one way ticket to failure. Without responsibility there is no real power, and it's hard to truly give teams responsibility without spinning them off as an entirely separate organisation.
