Well, turns out spouse has COVID vs RSV.

Despite me having a couple negative rapid tests under my belt (use the free USPS ones while you can 🇺🇸 b/c the Feds are playing pretend about COVID now), I'm now burning one of the expensive Cue tests. 🤞🏼

IMO every household in America (I can't suggest dictates outside my home) should have one of these as part of the Fed pandemic response (and they should be allowed to expand criteria to other things like influenza) and have steep discounts on the kits.

The number of lives these could have saved and — I guess more important for both Dems & GOP — overall money Gov. could have saved would have been seriously significant.

Pls ignore the dusty desk 🙃

And, I get to join the COVID club. I wish it were a more exclusive joint, tho.
@hrbrmstr Awful news. Here’s hoping everyone in the compound bounces back quickly.
@hrbrmstr Oh no! I just got over it and I'm a total recluse. I was lucky mine was not severe
@delabj Same, but we have agents who go into enemy territory 5 days a week (#4/high school) and this was honestly just a matter of time at this point. Hoping last week's symptoms were the worst it gets.
@hrbrmstr yeah unfortunately false negatives are not really rare for any of the types of test. Even PCR maxes out at 81% ascertainment rate of infected people on the best day.
@hrbrmstr supposedly most insurance cover the cost but it's not east and it's a reimbursement. I considered one but didn't want the gamble of several hundred dollars. I do feel we should all have them tough
@hrbrmstr I hope you and the household a speedy recovery!
