That's why hundreds upon hundreds of insurrections on the ground were charged, convicted and jailed long ago.

Attorney General Garland (or an appointed special counsel) should have subpoenaed Mark Meadows and Mike Pence in early 2021.

Working up the chain from rioters did not preclude top down from Donald Trump and lieutenants.

@jentaub I think he’s just laying the groundwork. Don’t forget this has to be airtight as the right are going to attack it on every level.
