Have you tried JetBrains Fleet already?

I really like what they are doing there and the directions seems excellent. I true competitor to VS Code.

I understand that it's very much in Preview, but what could I realistically do with it right now? It seems to lack basic JSON formatting, so I cannot use it as a JSON / document editor.

Maybe I'll just wait for the beta or 1.0 version :)

@kypeli felt a bit rough around the edges. But I hope they catch up. Remote IDEs are truly the next big thing

@nullpointer Yeah. I like tje simplicity of the UI and that it abstracts seemingly well the different language support features. Python and Rust support with documentation and syntax installed without issues.

JSON handling and 3rd party extensions are the big questions for me still.

But looking good 👍
