John Bull@reallychris @JonnElledge in seriousness, I remember coming across a report of a debate between Attlee and a Conservative MP about what the 'futute' the country should be. And the article was like:
"Mr Attlee argued that every child should be able to walk to their school. He was surprisingly firm on this subject."
@garius @JonnElledge yeah sometimes i find myself wondering if car dependency is a very intentional means of inequality, or i am also being a conspiracy theorist, so it's not surprising to see that foresight from somebody like attlee.
