i'm constantly seeing posts that look like replies even though i'm not following those other people..

thought it was something with @ivory but all the other clients and web interface show identical timeline.

so it's not entirely clear if it’s a mastodon bug or it's just not that intuitive to send DMs by toggling public/private when composing a post, @glennf @danprovost?

and now the next time i wanna send somebody a spicy DM 😏 i’m gonna be anxious about accidentally making it public..
