Doc AWFL*I love having my #AfricanGrey in my study with me when I'm teaching remotely but she will not stay on her playstand and I cannot be chasing her around all day when I'm trying to work. So I am shopping for a small cage on wheels, suitable for a grey, that I can roll her around the house in and that she can hang out in just for a couple of hours a day. Suggestions?
SeaFury ALT@Tarheel I have a rolling cage for my Conure and this is a great way to manage his inquisitiveness and birb chirps during zoom calls. He gets rolled into another room if he starts screaming 👀 it’s so much simpler than chasing him around the house. It also contains the inevitable poop!.
@SeaFury I just pulled the trigger on one. It's good to know it's a workable solution! Thank you for sharing that. My bird's a little bigger, at barely 400g, but I still think it would be helpful to see your setup if you're willing to share.
@Tarheel wow! That is a big bird!!!! Pete is only 67g. The cage is actually his full time “home”. But he is hardly in there, he basically just sleeps in there. It’s huge for a tiny bird!!!! He has several perches around the house that he’s claimed as his territory 😝 I’ll take a photo later today.
