@lucybeahere @justinmwhitaker @shoq I'm using a zizek argument here, democracy is an ideology, ergo a bias (doesn't matter if it's good or bad), so yeah you want journalism targeted toward your ideology, ergo biased journalism. Also, idk if you're American because there's a fallacy with the definition of democracy and american democracy

@AxlGray @lucybeahere @shoq I don't think pointing out all journalism is biased is really helpful here.

There are events. There are facts around those events. There's a truth there.

Any journalism major would tell you that their job is to question the decision makers and put those decisions in context of current events and history.

Allowing DeSantis to control the narrative unchecked isn't journalism. It's Propaganda.

@justinmwhitaker @lucybeahere @shoq I'm not responding to the article, I'm not even american, I'm just discussing about a global issue, the philosophy of journalism

@AxlGray @lucybeahere @shoq Sure, why not.

The question I keep coming back to is: is what they are doing journalism at all? Or is it infotainment?

@justinmwhitaker @lucybeahere @shoq like I said before: there is no such thing as unbiased journalism
