does changing an App icon on #iOS is working for anyone here WITHOUT rebooting the device?

for me 10/10 changes need a restart of the iPhone 🤦🏼‍♂️ #iOSBugs

@flohgro most of the time it works for me but I think when I change them more constantly, it’s like the device runs out of memory or something.

I think in the last month I did not have one successful change of an App icon without the need of a reboot..

and I’m not changing icons very often 🤦🏼‍♂️

@flohgro weird. What apps? Could be bugs in them? The most common one to not change for me has been Snapchat.

@ngorby Drsfts, Ivory, Fantastical, Todoist, Streaks, Marvis, Pocket Casts - none of them works 😂😂

@ngorby never - this makes no sense to me ;) I let iOS handle the memory management. I only force quit when something is not working..

@flohgro Same here, from the begining of icon changing feature and I even tried to fully restore from iCloud/different betas, no fix

@flohgro There's a little workaround: change the icon, drop the app on another to create a folder, move the app out of the folder, and the icon should be changed.
