@adhdeanasl "following back" is actually really bad for your Mastodon experience because unlike other platforms where your feed is curated by an algorithm, on here your feed is curated by you so "following back" fills your Home feed with stuff you probably don't want to see, and thus giving you an awful experience.
Mastodon is not designed for "farming" follows. In most cases it would probably be a better experience to be able to hide your follow/follower count.
