BurntUmberAKDoes anyone out there know anything about medical tourism? My dad is desperately in need of a replacement knee, which insurance will cover. But first he has to get dental issues ($14k estimate!) dealt with, which insurance won’t cover. I’m considering flying him to Mexico for dental care. I just left Thailand, where I know he could get things done for a price we can afford, but he can’t handle the flight times to cross the Pacific.

@BurntUmberAK Everyone I know who’s traveled for dental work went to Mexico, but that’s about all I know.
IdahoLark@mivox @BurntUmberAK I've heard about people in Hawaii going to the Philippines for dental work. A friend is Tucson goes to Mexico for his. I have a friend living in Guadalajara I could ask for you.
@IdahoLark @mivox that would be appreciated. The trans-Pacific flights would be very difficult for him. But flying to Mexico we can plan shorter flights.
