We hebben vorig jaar een kwart minder gas verbruikt dan in 2021. Huishoudens waren zuiniger vanwege de hoge gasprijs, terwijl industriële bedrijven de productie tijdelijk hebben stilgelegd of efficiënter hebben geproduceerd. Daardoor kwam het totale verbruik uit op 31 miljard kubieke meter en dat is het laagste niveau sinds 1972, zo meldt statistiekbureau CBS maandag.

@Sustainable2050 my estimate for our own household is a drop in gas consumption of something like 45%.

@Sustainable2050 in general, we know from the 1970s oil shock times that price shocks "put savings on the agenda". This effect endures after the shock is over.
