A friend of a friend, who is now a friend of mine, wants to give me this car. Obviously I want it, but The engine needs to be rebuilt and the interior needs to be replaced. I am capable of both of those things but I don't have a good place to work on it so I feel much turmoil
@MLE_online You can accept it without the need to immediately start work on it though...just "have" it.
@Judeet88 If I accept it I have to put it somewhere
@MLE_online Yebbut...you'll become the guardian of a bit of history...get a tarp...!
@Judeet88 I don't have a yard though. I live in a small cottage
@MLE_online Someone will give you room to park it if you ask...I'm sure of that...a 'saviour project'...
@MLE_online worry about the details later! TAKE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@MLE_online a disassembled minor can fit in a living room, right?

@MLE_online it is an extremely friend-shaped car, so I can see the issue.

I hope the right solution presents itself!

@MLE_online if you don't want it I'll take it 🥺
@MLE_online looks like sweet project! I hope you find a way to make it work.

@MLE_online let me share with you a realization I had about myself within the past year.

I can’t rescue and restore every single thing. Sometimes it’s okay for me to pass up an opportunity and be happy for whomever gets the free thing on the side of the road

I think of it like, ooh I could grab that but I could also make someone else really happy to get it and make use of it.

So if you decide not to do it, maybe think of it as a gift to whomever gets it.

@MLE_online (I mean, if you want. Im only reporting what’s working for me)
@MLE_online re: space - every project has to have a place to go. As a chronic project acquirer, I can tell you that cramming All The Things into every available space will just make all projects grind to a halt . But if you have the space, go for it!

@MLE_online

That car comes with its own hymn...
