Loup@Yakkafo I always find it strange that players can't relate to something of a few years back. I play retro games and my gf can't appreciate them but if it's a recent indie game with the same graphics, that's fine. I don't know what to think of that.
@white_fangs I understand your girlfriend on this topic, and I think it’s not about the art/tech, but the design. It’s very hard for me to appreciate an old game if I haven't played it when I was a kid. Modern indie games that play on nostalgia often have a very modern gameplay.

@Yakkafo I fully agree on the design and gameplay, usually that's the hard part, I thought about it the second I posted 😅 Maybe you're right about this middle category but I feel like I may be an indulgent player in that regard, I'm able to appreciate the games for what they did in their time regardless of what is possible now (reminds me of Façade).
