If a church has enough money to run ads during the Super Bowl?

They have enough to pay taxes.

@flexghost I don't care if they don't have enough money for an ad either.

You use your pulpit for politics, we tax your ass

@Smokinjoe taxing your ass is how mega church pastor Ted Haggart refers to selecting male prostitiutes
@flexghost @Smokinjoe *me looking at the church and rubbing my hands together* Mmmm yeah, I'd tax that.
@Tweetfiction gross. But appropriate
@flexghost Strangely, that's exactly what it says on my business cards. 😂
@flexghost @Smokinjoe oh snap!!🙀😂😜👍👍👍👍
Setting aside whether churches and other non-profits should be taxed for a differentconversation...
I think it's hard to completely separate faith and politics. For example, when Jesus said to love your neighbor. That seems to support caring for the disenfranchised, so that seeps into my political views.
My concern is when religion is weaponized and Scripture is picked to fit one narrative in a way that gives power to the government OVER people rather than power to the government to HELP people.
