Yes it's hilarious, It's been around for a while.
It appeals to my sense of the ridiculous.
When you attach an image, click on the bit that says 'No description added'.
Then you can type in a description of the image and credit the artist / photographer.
It is also a good thing to do for visually impaired users.
For example:
here's the same cartoon that I posted earlier this month, but with added alt text and a credit for the artist.
