Sorry, but Sundar Pichai is not a good CEO.
@snazzyq I don’t even get what he does at Google. A quick Google search (ha) says that he focuses on innovating new projects, so I guess that makes sense why there isn’t much cohesion between existing products.
@snazzyq Agreed. And it also concerns me how many “normal” people don’t know who actually started Google and made it what it is and just cite Pichai.
@snazzyq can you expand? Is this about Bard? I haven't been following those news much
@snazzyq Satya led the biggest turnaround for Microsoft, Sundar is leading Google on autopilot

@snazzyq he is though and has been. They couldn’t be the first in this new AI race. If they did then regulators would’ve destroyed them. They’ve been working on it in preparation but keeping it largely on the back burner. Now that there’s threat of competition they can play.

This is all assuming your vague statement is regarding the AI race.

@RikRipper The AI race is just one very tiny part of the reason I don’t think he’s great.

@snazzyq he is if you understand what his actual job is -

being a friendly punching bag for congress

@snazzyq I would have to agree but I'm very curious what your thoughts on him are in general and why he's not a successful CEO.
@snazzyq I agree. The lack of a cohesive vision at Google has been a bit of a problem for years now. Google should have had a solid Teams/Slack competitor for over 10 years now but somehow don't. They can't make up their minds.
