biden personally intervened to stop the strikes that were ringing the bell on this exact thing happening and now this exact thing has happened like ten times worse than anyone would expect and obviously exponentially worse than they're letting on
@swordsjew I don't understand what this person is trying to say. What is "this exact thing"? What are the bells that are being rung? Maybe this made sense on Twitter, but it doesn't make any sense on Mastodon.

I'm not one of the people that denounces accounts set up to simply mirror their posts from Twitter to Mastodon, I think it's a reasonable option, but there are better and worse ways to do it. These reposts don't preserve any link to the original, making it hard to look up the answers to puzzles like this.
@warren__terra @swordsjew Yes. I revere Talia, but I don't like having my feed filled with unintelligible stuff like this.

@warren__terra @aristofontes @swordsjew this is why is reconfigured my ifttt setup to only cross post items with a specific hashtag - it keeps my feed from getting cluttered with confusing things.

Of course, Twitter is cutting off ifttt access with its api lockdown on Monday, so no real point in setting things up now.
