I am crying in frustration. GRC conferences are known for their notorious time commitment and that the whole point is to be a week away in “adult summer camp” however babies cannot be in the sessions. So either I leave my baby for a week and try to pump enough milk for that. Or I bring them and pay for a nanny for 12hrs each day because there is no daycare on site. What the fuck does a junior assistant professor with a baby supposed to do
@STEMxicanEd that's infuriating. It probably won't help but I just submitted a comment/question to GRC to find out their stance (really to make sure it's on their radar) and to find out whether there might be any case by case accommodations until policy changes. I'm sorry you're in this impossible position.
