Trans lives are more important than any video game or media franchise.

I keep getting blindsided by otherwise understanding people falling into arguments that basically amount to "no pawlitics!!! :(((" when trying to rationalise buying the game

I think a lot of people on that side of the fence fail to see that this game has become a battleground in an ongoing culture war.

Anything along the lines of "Don't judge me for partaking" is just putting yourself in as a bystander on the side of the aggressors trying to demolish the existence of transfolk whether you mean to or not.

If you can't see that, don't try argue with me I really couldn't care what you have to say. Just look at the plethora of anti-trans bills sweeping the US. The gearing up of trans erasure in the UK and everywhere else.

We live in an age where trans lives are actively being threatened. Don't stan for a video game that has become an icon of bigoted movements.

@Apatapa Considering JK gets paid for every copy sold and she donated money towards anti trans politicians and championed anti trans policies, there really is no middle road with this.

If you buy the game you are directly financing and supporting anti trans hate

@TrackerRoo 100%

I see people try explain this away with "no ethical consumption under capitalism so it's fine" but that's not the intent of the saying, it's a reminder to manage what you can and video games are perhaps the easiest thing to cut
