Jen Angel, co-founder of Clamor magazine and the AMC, and more recently founder of Angel Cakes Bakery in Oakland, died last night after being severely injured in an attempted robbery.

I knew Jen for years, as a Punk Planet contributor and builder of amazing projects and communities. She was always a force for good. This is truly tragic.

Angel's family and friends say that she would have opposed "putting public resources into policing, incarceration, or other state violence that perpetuates the cycles of violence that resulted in this tragedy."
