Life in the country, Ravières

Manure delivery, organised by our neighbour who’s an arable farmer from his friend a dairy farmer

This’ll be spread on a vegetable garden that’s not been used for some years. And ideally by the summer we’ll have 🍅 and 🥔 growing

@jon that's hilarious. Brilliantly useful, but hilarious...😂😂
@jon Ace. Worth checking out no- dig gardening https://charlesdowding.co.uk/ . Saves a lot of labour and time, especially if travelling a bit on the rails.

@jon
As an inexperienced gardener many years ago while living in Paris went to the bois de Vincennes with a carrier bag to collect crottes de chevaux to feed my tomato plants. When I told my dad he laughed and said they'd be inedible as the horse manure would alter their taste. He wasn't wrong.
@jon Charles Dowding and No Dig FTW is my recommendation, having tried it four years ago
