RedoI can't focus on anything, so I'm reading "The melancholy of resistance". Thank you based Krasznahorkai. Oh man, his characters are so unlikeable. But the small town atmosphere of his novels and original things that happen there are quite fun. ^___^ I needed something like this, something not serious.
The truck of circus of chaos and apocalypse appeared. And the apartment and life of the woman character gets describes. You gotta love the kitsch decorations. The detailed descriptions remind me of Perec. I quite like the (post-)communistic atmosphere too.
Jamin Bogi@DreamRedo My book club read this recently, and it's interesting how different people described the vibe. Some related to the funnier elements and thought it was hilarious; others saw the funny elements as happening w/i an overall oppressive, scary atmosphere.

@JaminBogi Nice, reading it within a book club had to be great. The differing experiences are interesting too, I like the way you described it. And true about the cover, it made me look into the book. It seems like the book will combine many different impressions and experiences.
