For like, the past 3 - 4 days, I've been trying to "fix" this hard drive that suddenly just gave me shit when trying to copy files to it. I may have just fucked it up further for all I know. It's sending me in pain.
19 days later I come back to document that this drive failed me and "died" too. I put quotes there, because it still comes back and is detected by Windows, but is at full 100% usage doing nothing like the last drive, then it disappears. Maybe this thing is haunted by an old curse.
So I return to this 4 month old post to add onto this 5 month old thread: I got a 120 GB SSD from a friend that did the same thing, but I fixed it by using another SATA cable. All this time, and it was very likely that simple SATA cable. I'm fuckin' stupid.
@needleamanojaku I've been through the same, I was trying to unbrick one of my old phones as it got bricked by a weird update but it didn't work so i got a new one, literally a week later i tried another cable and it worked perfectly fine
@needleamanojaku True but I was considering getting a new one at the time anyway and I was thinking of selling it at first but then decided to give it to my grandma who's been stubborn about upgrading from her old nokia and i taught her how to use it and she likes it Btw the phone in question was a Redmi Note 4X
@needleamanojaku Yeah, that phone itself was a hand me down from my dad who used it extensively since 2017, so much so it's slightly bent but it's still working perfectly and I installed pixel experience after miui got on my nerves and i used it like that for a year or so and it worked really well
