emmett (they/he)fuck. i just stormed out of a meeting at work because the executive branch of the state government is going to be going through my email to make sure I'm not talking about gender identity to kids during work hours. luckily i haven't been (on my work email) but goddamn it I'm a trans man with a trans kid. talking to kids about gender identity saves lives. shouldn't that matter?
AnarieBradyAuthor@nojbel I'm so sorry you're going through this. Just a thought. Isn't saying "boys and girls " also talking about gender? If so, by singling you out rather than others who say that, isn't that discriminatory work policy?
@AnarieBrady it's not just me, the whole department is under internal review and going through the same thing.
@nojbel btw, I love the name Emmitt. It was one of my favorite men's name. . My grandfather. He was always my hero.
