@jonkeegan @themarkup the entire burden for recycling, to removing plastic, to removing carbon from the economy, needs to rest on company shoulders. Pretending consumers are responsible for how companies manufacture and distribute goods is another, long-running, scam.

#sotu in the EU we enjoy consumer protection from the GDPR - which would indeed fine companies who hold onto data they have not specifically asked the person its about, if they may keep (and even then forever is not allowed)
