Am I the only person out here who doesn't want black-box large-language-model AI anywhere near my web searches or my browser?

I don't want non-deterministic results. I don't want to chat about it. I don't want results tailored to my interests.

Just do a good job at identifying results that match the keywords or keyphrases I supply, and I'll handle the rest.

Totally unrelated: I'll be over here continuing to use DuckDuckGo in Safari on my personal machine.

It occurs to me that at some point, I'm probably going to have to stop using commercial software entirely if I want to avoid bullshit integrations of mindless LLM "AI".
@jwisser 100% agree. Unfortunately, I think it's inevitable, along with the ongoing destruction of right-to-repair, and the ability to actually own software/media v. renting it as SAS or streaming
@jwisser You’re definitely not the only one. Google already has massive problems with misinformation as it is. I can’t imagine how bad it’s going to get with further AI integration and algorithmic processing. Their search results are going to go right down the shitter.
