@ivory seem to be unable to restore purchases on iPad despite subscription on the iPhone. Is this expected? @tapbots
@kylepauljohnson it should work. It’s an App Store sub and not TestFlight right? I’d check your sub status on your phone to be sure it’s active in your list of subs.
@ivory think I got it. Didn’t realize the TestFlight version wouldn’t let you sync the subscription status?

@ivory Seems like iPad version behaves a bit different than iPhone….

On iPad if I install the AppStore version, restore the subscription (which works), then install the TestFlight version I am dropped back to the “Free” plan and can’t restore the subscription.

This doesn’t appear to be the case on the iPhone. I am currently running the TestFlight version on the IPhone with proper subscription. 🤔

@kylepauljohnson the test flight version won’t ever see your real sub. So you’ll have to resub in TestFlight whenever you see that menu. You don’t get charged in TestFlight so it’s no big deal aside from the minor annoyance of having to sign into your App Store account again. 🙂
@ivory Well there it is… user error. Got it working as expected then and probably had already done that one the iPhone some time ago. Sorry for the disruption but please keep u p the great work! 👏🏻
@kylepauljohnson @ivory @tapbots This error is also happening when I try to restore while on Family Sharing. It was working fine until I installed the new update today from the App Store. My wife made the subscription purchase, and I had access to it. I have another subscription that we can both see just fine in family sharing, but ivory is nowhere to be seen. I suspect the new version has broken family sharing (or subscription purchase restoration).
@Skawt @ivory @tapbots I kept getting punted back to the “free” subscription randomly on iPad even after I thought I had it corrected. So I just installed the AppStore version and it seems to be fine. This only seems an issue for me at least in TestFlight version.
@kylepauljohnson @ivory @tapbots I never had the test flight version. This is an issue with the App Store release version and family sharing not working, but may be a related issue.
@Skawt @kylepauljohnson we think this might be some weird Apple server issue because we haven’t touched any of the code related to subscriptions lately. But we are keeping an eye on things.
@ivory @kylepauljohnson Okay. My wife on her end has contacted Apple support, so hopefully this will be resolved shortly.
@Skawt make sure when you go to your subscriptions in iOS settings, you see an active ivory sub. If not, then that’s probably the issue. If you do see it and still have issues, let us know.
@ivory My wife does. Hers works. Mine does not, despite Family Sharing being activated and functioning. It’s not appearing for me. Apple is supposed to be contacting you to figure out what’s wrong.
@ivory Okay, I got it working. Despite the subscription being in Family Sharing and enabled, after the update it simply stopped functioning for me. The solution was to disable sharing for the subscription on my wife’s iPad, then reenabling it. Only then was I able to use restore purchase on mine.
