First post! Guess I’ll re-introduce myself over here.

I’m Sam👋 I’m based in NYC, doing iOS stuff at a ML/AI startup called FieldDay.

Into everything Swift, SwiftUI, TCA, and animating on iOS.

In my free time I’m learning guitar, writing a bit, and making random things.

@sammcgarry Hi Sam. Have a question w.r.t ML. How good is M1 based macbook air for basic ML? Are there any compatibility issues with python libraries like pytorch? Thinking of getting m1 or m2 macbook air. For higher workloads, I have a desktop.
@amarbandla Hey Amarendra. I’m just an iOS guy so not sure I’d be the best person to ask - sorry can’t be more helpful. I do have an M1 Air though and I love it. And from a quick search it looks like PyTorch can run on M1 chips now https://www.reddit.com/r/MachineLearning/comments/ut30ck/d_my_experience_with_running_pytorch_on_the_m1_gpu/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x

@sammcgarry no problem. Yeah, some posts on reddit says that it works well. May as well jump in as it will almost complete my apple ecosystem. Only significant thing left would be the Apple TV.
