@schwa @s0mmer Scanning the local timeline is the big draw, I think. It can be a nice way to discover new stuff in a somewhat controlled environment.

As for the “facet” question, it’s a good one. Sometimes people have multiple accounts/instances, but that can obviously get cumbersome.

@richbruchal @schwa Yes, after maintaining 3 twitter accounts for years I'm 100% committed to the 1 account life over here. If people don't like the occasional circus video, that’s not something I'm going to worry about.

@richbruchal towards the end, using lists was the only thing that made using Twitter tolerable.
