The thing I miss most about being a child is getting praise for cleaning up my own mess.
@Wildethingy What praise? I was raised in military family. We were taught by age 6 to make our heds, keep room clean, make breakfast, school lunches, and sometimes dinner, help with laundry, fold our clothes and put them away. No praise, only verbal abuse if we didn't.
@Wildethingy
That's why you should always give yourself a prize at the end. Like a bar of chocolate or whatever you fancy.
@Wildethingy I am 60 years old and this still holds true
