David vs Goliath is massively misunderstood. Folks think it's a tale of the little guy winning over the big guy. But really, it's a tale of technological superiority. Essentially, it's a dozen British soldiers mowing down thousands of Zulus with a Gatling gun and claiming moral victory.

@dikkii It was from the only album of theirs I bought. I think it was called "FREE!", and the gag was that the CD itself had no markings, but for a cheap-arse sticker with "FREE!" in a bang shape, like you might see at JB or the equivalent. (Does this even make sense, or am I going to have to dig up the CD?) Really solid, extremely depressing non-music.

@ghost_shit my memory doesn't quite remember it, but it sounds a bit like System Of A Down's "Steal This Album" which was just a CD in a clear case with nothing other than "System Of A Down Steal This Album" in texta-like handwriting on the CD.

Back to your original thesis: I'm no bible scholar (I've never opened one), but I like your take. Much like Negativland's sample "The gun and the Bible carved America out of the wilderness", it places those with superior weapons closer to gOd, while demonising those without.
