Pondering - As you can see from my timeline - I am retaining a foot in both Mastodon and Twitter camps. It mainly stems, I think, from the fact that my timeline on Twitter is not massively polluted… and there are lots of interesting people, that I know, over there and not on / active on Mastodon…

Am also wrestling with this half and half transition.

The curation element of Twitter was often overlooked It was one of its best features. It was and can still be a wonderful tool for listening to people much better informed than ourselves.

Obviously Mastodon can do this too though it will take some time and curation to recapture the value Twitter had established over many years.

And the prospect of that process makes me feel a bit tired.

@MrMikeRose Same. The recent #GovCamp23 showed that so many digital folk still occupy the bird site that straddling and cross posting is the way to go for me (for now)
