I think they do actually pull off ease, but good lord there's so much that needs setting up... If it weren't for my desire to use fairly industry standard components, I'd simply use lxc and rig up everything myself.
@travis honestly, I'm at the point I need to put it down and go to sleep for the night.
I think the problem is there's so many choices involved in just the getting started and guides just assume background knowledge that just isn't there.

A fresh set of eyes does wonders.
It took me a while for kubernetes to really sink in for me.
Networking was complicated. Storage was also complicated. But eventually you get it, and you don't even think about it anymore.
Start small, and don't expect that what you build today will be what youll use in a week or a month or a year. It's an iterative process. Have patience with yourself.
