It's weird that some of the best sounding vinyl I have are old records remastered and cut from digital, but then some of the weakest vinyl is also cut from digital.
What is Mastering for Vinyl? — Sage Audio

Mastering for vinyl is the process of creating a separate master that can be cut into a vinyl record without added unwanted distortion.

@kanejamison yeah, I think too many of these are rushed out to hungry and unknowing audiences for $$$ instead of really trying to put out a quality product. Interestingly, some of the "bad" ones are the recent Zeppelin reissues. Hard to believe they wouldn't get mastered for vinyl...
@AndyOdom7 I think I read that the main delay from Phish, and or Grateful Dead camp on more vinyl releases was bandwith to do mastering. Which I’m glad to hear when those things run 40 to 80 bucks a pop.
@kanejamison @AndyOdom7 I'm back to CDs for things I don't have on vinyl and listen to a lot. Notice a *huge* difference in my car (vs. streaming).

@matthewjbrown @AndyOdom7 I’m similar… I do CDs and radio in the car unless it’s a long trip and I’ll connect Bluetooth.

I do turntable and monitors at office where kids can’t touch the vinyl, and some streaming to headphones.

@matthewjbrown @kanejamison I don't even have a CD player in my car anymore!
@AndyOdom7 @matthewjbrown Look who's living in 2062.
@AndyOdom7 @matthewjbrown oh lame my Jetsons car GIF didn’t attach.
