@travis @mmasnick and like most of his decisions it'll probably make thousands of dollars from the relatively few takers at most while costing millions from lost advertising. API access was literally free user engagement for him with development being paid out of pocket by external devs. If he thinks all the bots posting quotes, puppies, etc are all going to pay $100 to keep doing that for free he's insane.
@raptor85 @mmasnick Oh absolutely. But I doubt he’ll sell enough of anything to meet his annual $1 billion payment. And that’s not including the other payments he hasn’t been making. The creditors are going to have to repo their site and sell it to Microsoft or Verizon and take a few Falcon 9 rockets to get anything back.
