I tried to watch the zombie show. What was I thinking? That is waaaayy too scary for the likes of me.
Back to Trollope I go. In which there is an important dinner party coming up, and some of the invited guests are no longer sure they ought to attend.
@calebcrain I've been doing the Palliser novels and the Quintus Slide Gl#nn Gr##nw@ld parallels are a bit much .
@henryfarrell I’m halfway through “The Way We Live Now,” which features a grandiose, bullying finance fraudster with an undeserved reputation for business genius, hated by everyone in his own family, who goes into politics as a Conservative. Totally unlike real life
@calebcrain You should watch episode 3 if you haven’t — it’s essentially standalone and quite different and wonderful
@andrewhearst I’m going to have to take your word for it! I could not make it halfway through the first episode without an anxiety attack
@calebcrain @andrewhearst I second this. There are no zombies in ep 3. I think one could pretty much watch it without eps 1 and 2, as long as you know the post-apocalyptic premise of the show and that there are people trying to make it through. By the end my wife and I were both sobbing, it’s so sweet and sad!
