@nerdbear Guns kill more children annually now than do accidents. Guns are literally the leading cause of death of children. This isn't the gotcha you think it is.

You can find reversed statistics https://www.nbcnews.com/data-graphics/child-gun-deaths-car-deaths-data-rcna31617 :

“Nearly 2,400 children ages 1-17 died of vehicle-related injuries in 2020, compared with 2,270 firearm deaths.”

President Biden claims more kids are dying from guns than cars. That’s not the whole story.

A closer look at death data shows that while gun deaths are close in number to vehicular deaths, much depends on how the numbers are sliced.

While you're right that traffic violence is an important fight, it feels like you're whattabouting and trying to hijack another perfectly valid fight. This does not help either cause.
