@QasimRashid The 2012 massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary was heartbreaking evidence the GOP doesn't give a damn about white children, much less anybody else's.

@SuneAuken @QasimRashid What gets me is their "concern" over white students' discomfort in history class. Who takes personally the atrocities of the long-dead--or more recent villains for that matter? When I was a kid, I saw the picture of Emmett Till in his open casket. As a black child who worried about encountering quicksand in a Midwestern city, thanks to movies & one who was tormented by older kids w scary stories, I never thought the monsters who murdered Till would come for me.
