Ran a #Windows update today and was confronted with a mandatory credit card requirement to proceed with the installation...

Apparently this isn't that recent of a development, but wow, what a brand new low.

Somehow I managed to bypass the whole installation on a hard reset (it wouldn't let me log in otherwise). If this ever becomes not bypass-able though, I guess it's #Linux all the way.
