Programmers, what is the most satisfying, relatively short thing you keep writing repeatedly?
For me - serialization.
Sometimes can be just a few dozen lines of code, but it is so useful it feels like magic. :)

(Step two - reflection and versioning, makes it much heavier, but even cooler)
