@PeggyJoan Should explain that in Australia the Liberal Party where this kind are becoming more vocal is anything but liberal. More GOP & becoming more right wing.

Their coalition partners, the National Party is just a front for donors. It was once the party for farmers & huge country areas but no longer. A party that favours fracking over farms.

This coalition held office here until May 2022 when we voted them out. They has as leader, a lying narcissist smirking mini Trump leading them. While much of Australia burned one summer, he secretly went on holiday to Hawaii. Abrogated responsibility for Covid to the states despite the constitution clearly stating it was a federal role. We only survived Covid thanks to a number of Labor Party state leaders.

Now under Labor Party Prime Minister Albanese we are seeing the putrid sludge of their governing being exposed. A long road to recovery for our nation.

Currently an independent corruption commission is being set up with retrospective powers.

And right now, we are watching a Royal Commission into the deliberate illegal actions of social security departments that ruined many lives. Over 2000 suicides related directly to it. Once the Commission reports, there may be not only big departmental changes but trials and possible jail for perpetrators.

Hope the US can overcome this horror.
