Jim SwiftDC is considering installing 7,500 EV chargers. To put that in perspective, DC has 112 gas stations, half of which are owned by one company.
Bouriquet@JimSwift But 112 gas stations can probably refuel 6-8 cars simultaneously, with a refuel taking 10 minutes maybe…somewhere between 35-45 cars per hour x 112 stations = 4480 cars/hour.
If an e-vehicle takes 30 minutes to several hours to charge at a Level 2 charging station, 7500 charging points might not be enough or it might be just enough, unless you all want to charge during lunch!
